Google Account & Sign In
You must have a Google account. Go to YouTube.com and click “Sign In” in the top right corner. Use your Google account credentials to log in.
Access Channel Creation
Click your profile picture (or initial) in the top right corner. From the dropdown menu, select “Create a Channel” to start a personal channel, or for a Brand Account (recommended for business/topics), go to ‘Settings” then, “Create a New Channel”.
Name Your Channel
If creating a personal channel, your Google account name is used by default. If creating a Brand Account, you will be prompted to enter your desired channel name. Choose a relevant and memorable name.
Confirm Channel & Basic Customization
Click “Create” to finalize your channel. Immediately begin customizing by uploading a profile picture (logo/avatar) and a channel art banner to visually represent your channel.
Add Channel Description & Links
Navigate to the “Customize Channel” section (often found by clicking “Customize Channel” on your main channel page) and then the “Basic info” tab. Write a clear description of your channel’s content and add links to your website or social media.
Upload First Video & Explore Studio
Click the “Create” (camera with plus) icon to upload your first video. Title it, add a description, and select a thumbnail. Afterward, explore “YouTube Studio” (accessible from your profile picture dropdown) to manage your content, view analytics, and access all channel settings.
